It was reported in The West Australian in January that rents in Perth had increased by $20 over the December quarter.
This REIWA data was not reported accurately.
Whilst our data show that rents for Houses in the metropolitan area did increase by $20 to a median of $420 per week, this was not the case for multi-residential dwellings.
Median rents for flats, units, apartments, villas and townhouses remain steady at $380 per week. No December quarter increase was found for this sector of the housing market.
